This 8 foot wide canal towpath trail has a fine crushed limestone base surface 24 miles* in length extending from to near the west side of Massillon Ohio. Flat and tree-lined, the trail runs parallel to the Tuscarawas River through a peaceful suburban and rural countryside. In summer months, visitors can take a ride on the St. Helena III canal boat in Canal Fulton, with picnicking and fishing available at Lock #4 Park. Trailhead parking areas are along Erie Avenue between Canal Fulton and Massillon.
